Early Intervention
and Our Philosophy
Love, Learn and Play, LLC was founded in 2023, readily equipped with the ability to provide communities in need with Early Intervention Services regardless of factors such as status of diagnosis, socioeconomic status, and access to transportation. The team at Love, Learn and Play, LLC is aware of the stigma associated with the diagnosis of developmental delays, and therefore understands the hesitation of some parents to expose their children to necessary services. For this reason, we are committed to interacting with children from infancy to the age of 6 within their natural environment. All of our efforts as a team are executed with the goal in mind of assisting children in transitioning from potential IEP learning to traditional educational environments by the age of 6.
ABOUT US
Meet Joni Pendergrass
Joni Pendergrass , a fun filled, positive spirited native of Hartsville, SC is a 1993 graduate of Hartsville High School and a 2004 graduate of Coker College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a Concentration in Criminology. Before receiving her college degree, Joni worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and a Behavioral Specialist with AMI Camp Sandhills Wilderness Institution where she fell in to the area of guiding and being a positive outlook and impact working with kids.

Joni joined Darlington County Disabilities and Special Needs Board Bright Beginnings Early Intervention Program in August 2005. There she had the privilege to work with children between the ages of 0-5 with developmental delays. After 9 years of service she was promoted to Early Intervention Supervisor. It was here, where she joined the executive team while continuing to manage a full time case load and supervising and mentoring young and inspiring Early Interventionist. Joni also served as the agency certified Crisis Prevention Instructor and Abuse and Prevention Coordinator.

Joni continues to stay faithful and committed to the families that she serves. Teaching kids through play provides her with so much joy which makes this her ministry. Joni is married to Carlos Pendergrass where they share two daughters Jacoyzha (Justin) Brockington and Jazolyn Pendergrass and one vibrant grandson Justin known as “J2”. Joni has then also birthed Love, Learn and Play, LLC.
